    Founded in 1988 as the non-degree community branch of DePaul University’s School of Music, the Community Music Division provides quality music education to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of ability. Offerings include individual lessons, group classes, performance ensembles, and student recitals. The division serves 750 students in the Chicago area and employs a professional faculty of 70 artist-educators. Community engagement programs include alliances with area schools and churches. The Community Music Division is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education and the Chicago Consortium of Community Music Schools
