  • Mission

    The Mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. To achieve our mission, all relevant and promising research must be considered for funding. The Foundation's research portfolio has three primary focus areas: restoration of normal blood sugar levels, avoidance and improved treatment to prevent complications, and prevention of diabetes and its recurrence.

    The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) is the world's leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research. Founded by parents of children with diabetes, JDRF now has more than 110 chapters and affiliates worldwide, whose volunteers have helped to raise more than $1 billion for diabetes research.
