S.W.A.G. academy- Students Working at Greatness “Knowing that something great is inside of you.”
S.W.A.G. Academy Mission Statement- A youth development program driven to impact youth through the areas of self-image, education, critical thinking & social responsibility.
S.W.A.G. Academy is a 3-4 hour Saturday enrichment program held at Paul D. West Middle School, whose purpose is to educate & empower students
S.W.A.G. Academy will target approximately 100 students in grades 6-8. Program youth would be both those academically and behaviorally sound as well as those that reflect multiple risk factors for poor academic performance, violence and/or delinquent behavior. Out of the 100 participants 25 of the youths involved in the program will be referred through school counselors, coaches, parents and teachers.
