About Us

The Salvation Army is an international movement, and an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Our message is based on the Bible. Our ministry is motivated by the love of God. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Our motto is “Doing the Most Good” in our community.

As a non-profit organization we rely on philanthropic support to be able to provide quality cost effective services to those most in need. In 2012 we locally accomplished this by assisting 10,062 individuals with financial assistance, including food assistance to over 4,100 people and giving 15,704 Christmas gifts to children, seniors and their families who otherwise would not have had any Christmas morning. We also sent 100 children to Camp Happyland and offered free after school character building and music & arts programs to the youth in our community.
