Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge & Acadiana, Inc.
Junior Achievement will ensure that every child has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. Junior Achievement educates and inspires young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. JA provides K-12 students with programs that are both age-appropriate and interactive. These programs are designed to teach elementary students about their roles as individuals, workers, and consumers. Middle grade and high school students learn key economic, ethical, and workforce issues that they will face. A hallmark of JA is its unique use of local business and community volunteers who come into the classroom to deliver JA progams. The dynamic interaction between students and classroom volunteers with practical business experience promotes active learning and brings theory to life.
