Gulf Coast Works

Gulf Coast Works is a grassroots initiative located in the greater Boston area that manages specific projects and facilitates logistics for groups of volunteers seeking to participate in rebuilding projects on the Gulf Coast. Leadership is provided by a small group of volunteers who meet regularly to plan, coordinate, and promote group trips and other Katrina-related relief efforts.

Our mission is to help the neediest victims of Hurricane Katrina all along the Gulf Coast to rebuild their homes and communities. To increase awareness of the specific needs of the Gulf Coast communities and, most importantly, to form teams of adults and teens from all over to travel down to the Gulf Coast during 2008 for hands-on relief projects.
