Village Meadows Elementary School

The Wolves Music Club started in 2015 as a grass-roots, parent initiative to offer music as an after-school club. Over the past three years, the club has reached over 150 students in various activities such as recorders, ukuleles, chorus, music composition, Taiko (Japanese ensemble drumming), bucket drumming, hand bells, xylophones, and Boomwhackers. The club is now a before-school gathering which limits the potential of reaching more students.

Starting in the 2018-2019 school year, we are looking for Arts Mentors who will partner with the school to bring music, art, language, dance/movement and drama/plays into the classrooms to reach every student. We have seen firsthand how the arts positively affect students well-being and want to multiply that opportunity to the whole school, to include our special needs students.
