Professional Ski Instructors of America-American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI)

The Professional Ski Instructors of America – American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI) is a membership-driven, 501c6 association that supports snowsports instructors through education, certification, and community engagement. Our vision is for members to receive innovative, inspirational, and accessible professional development to enhance their careers and leadership potential in the snowsports industry. The PSIA-AASI Education Foundation is a 501c3 with a mission is to support extraordinary education for our members and community through funding to PSIA-AASI for transformational initiatives, grants, and scholarships.

PSIA-AASI counts 34,000+ individual and 300+ school members, as well as 50+ corporate partners and 40+ international peer organizations, as part of our global community. Through our eight regions, hundreds of education staff members, and thousands of annual local events, PSIA-AASI is active year-round in every state with a ski area. Our credentialing programs cover the five major disciplines (adaptive, alpine, cross-country, snowboard, and telemark) with additional certificates focused on teaching children and freestyle. In 2024, PSIA-AASI awarded 149 scholarships totaling $64,000 through the Education Foundation.
