About Us
MISSION
Senior Ride Nashville strives to improve quality of life for non-driving older adults in Davidson County by providing courteous and safe door-through-door volunteer transportation along with guidance on mobility options, enabling them to maintain independence and dignity, obtain essential services and stay connected to the community.
PLANS
The target population is senior adults age 60 and older, living in Davidson County who no longer drive or limit their driving, and can transfer safely in/out of a vehicle with limited assistance. Screened and trained volunteer drivers use their personal vehicles to provide door-to-door or door-through-door rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, beauty/barber shops and other destinations. Services have begun in designated service areas and Senior Ride Nashville plans for gradual expansion until we reach our goal of providing services countywide.
