    The mission of Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter is to support the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter, hereafter referred to as ECCAS, and enhance its efforts to save the lives of pets in need.

    About Us

    Friends of Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter creates and delivers programs to help:

    • Increase the number of pets that are spayed and neutered.
    • Provide medical care for injured, abused, and senior animals.
    • Reduce feral colony populations.
    • Fund building improvements to the shelter.
    • Educate and increase community awareness of the need to spay and neuter and to reduce animal cruelty.
    • Educate and increase community awareness of the importance to utilize appropriate pet identification: microchips, dog tags, etc.
