Project HEAL is America’s strongest voice that full recovery from an eating disorder is affordable and possible. At the age of 15 and themselves in recovery, Kristina Saffran and Liana Rosenman founded Project HEAL in 2008 to raise funds for others who could not otherwise afford treatment. We are now the largest nonprofit in the U.S. delivering prevention, treatment financing, and recovery support for people suffering from eating disorders.
With over 40,000 people now connected through 40 chapters worldwide and online, Project HEAL’s mission is to provide access to healing for all people with eating disorders. Our vision is that the dominant approach to eating disorder treatment and recovery becomes truly patient-centered, prioritizing and providing easy, equitable, and affordable access to long-term, sustained, treat-to-recovery care for all people with eating disorders.
