    Noank Community Support Services (NCSS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives, fostering self-reliance, and providing hope for the future through trauma-informed, individualized service in southeastern Connecticut

    About Us

    Our organization offers a vast array of youth and adolescent services and mental health services for adults including:

    • a group home for children that have not been successful in foster care
    • a shelter for placement-disrupted and runaway teen girls
    • the only shelter in Connecticut for refugee children, that includes pregnant and parenting teens
    • community-based services to assist teens and young adults who have aged out of foster care (ages 18-24) with finding jobs or attending college
    • transportation to help foster children get to school and medical appointments
    • in-home services for adults with chronic mental illness

    We received fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation (the gold standard of social service organizations) and this year (2022) we are celebrating our 50 th anniversary!
