Harriet Tubman School of Science & Tech

  • Mission

We are the first computer science focused elementary school in Georgia. Harriet Tubman School of Science & Tech's mission is to create student academic success and create lifelong career skills in tech and computer science for educationally disadvantaged students. The school is a data-driven model which enables school leader and administrative team to close achievement gaps using real-time data for analysis, school goals/targets, professional development and instructional coaching.

    About Us

Harriet Tubman School of Science and Technology is a startup charter school planning to serve students from K-5th grade. The school will start as a K-3rd grade growing into a K-5th grade school. The proposed opening date is in August 2020, for a 5-year charter term serving the Atlanta Public School District. The school's academic vision includes a high quality, Georgia Standards of Excellence aligned curriculum.

The curriculum was selected based on its ability to improve individualized student outcomes with a special emphasis on computer science skills and developing computational thinking skills.
