    About Us

The REI Program is primarily funded through timber revenue and receives no tax dollars or General Fund support. There is a critical need for additional resources to address the growing number of visitors and backlog of maintenance. The Trust works to bridge this gap by:

    • Securing contributions from individuals to support the maintenance and management of REI programs and facilities
    • Partnering with community organizations to implement mid-sized REI projects, such as volunteer-led trail building and user-group initiatives
    • Cultivating relationships with major donors to ensure readiness for future capital campaigns as REI Program needs evolve

Through these efforts, we work to ensure Oregon’s state forests remain available for all to explore, enjoy and steward.
