  • Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

    About Us

The Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) is a non-profit organization that offers various programs including: child care, youth sports, water safety and swimming lessons, memberships, etc to the community in which they are located. The YMCA does not turn anyone away for the inability to pay.

The Pickens County YMCA was established in 1960 and has served the Easley, Pickens, and Powdersville communities through child care, youth sports, memberships, water safety and swimming lessons, and special events.

In 2015, we implemented Y Mentor Pickens County, a program designed to match members of the community with a student in a Pickens County school. We serve elementary, middle and high schools, so a mentor can serve where their comfot level is. Our intent is to provide a framework of support for students who need it most by meeting one on one for 30 minutes once a week for the entire school year.
