    Stanford University’s Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC) was established in 2010 as an interdisciplinary research center in the Department of Medicine with the mission of designing and testing new ways of delivering health care that safely reduce health care costs. CERC currently has three main categories of activities: designing and testing new care models, conducting positive outlier research and developing novel applications of clinical informatics/artificial intelligence to support cost-reducing clinical processes.
