International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Turlock/Modesto, CA

About Us

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities to restore safety, dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home. The IRC's local offices in Turlock and Modesto operate several highly effective programs to meet a wide variety of refugee newcomers' needs. Our offices ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and clothing, and we work with refugees to help them gain self-sufficiency through English language classes, job readiness training and civics services. This year, the IRC in Turlock will resettle refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Syria among other countries. Interested in volunteering or interning with the IRC?
