About Us

Towards a Nonviolent World (ToNoWo) started as an idea based on a program offered in the US: a combination of internships and weekly workshops. With time it transformed into the umbrella name for a type of training about Nonviolence and Conflict Transformation for youth workers. The first training (supported by Erasmus+)took place in August 2015 in The Hague (The Netherlands).Participants were coming from Turkey, Italy and the Netherlands (or were residing in these countries). The second training took place in August 2016, in a village in the South of the Netherlands, with participants from nine different countries (Germany, Spain, Greece, Romenia, Hungary, Kosovo, Georgia, Egypt, Turkey and The Netherlands.) The third training will be in November 2016, in the UK.

All training programs provide the possibility to acquire knowledge and professional skills in nonviolence and peacebuilding, so that participants can integrate these in their professional and private life.
