DelgraciaCorp

About Us

DelgraciaCorp is a black female-led organization providing preventive services to young adults with children transitioning to independent living who are disconnected from their communities and at risk of child welfare and justice involvement. The organization's mission is to preserve young families using socio-economic opportunities to empower and safeguards individuals' and families' social-emotional needs.

DelgraciaCorp's values are simply A.R.T. - Accountability, Resiliency, and Transparency. The organization's vision is a community that uses cultural beliefs leading to self and family sufficiency.

The targeted population is young adults ages 16 - 26 with children (0 - 6 years old) transitioning to independent living. DelgraciaCorps' goal is to break the chains of intergenerational trauma (homelessness, recidivism, alcohol and substance use, domestic and intimate violence, food insecurity) exacerbated by poverty, causing the recycling of child welfare and justice involvement. The two programs that drive the organization towards it mission and goal are: 1) Family-care Management program services: case management, short-term mental health including crisis intervention, peer-to-peer counseling, and family therapeutic recreation; and 2) Family Maintenance program that identifies adults in the community that coaches young adults to make responsible decisions and co-parenting, but most importantly connect young adults and their children to the community.
