Founded in 2001 to protect marriage equality in Massachusetts, MassEquality works to ensure that everyone across Massachusetts can thrive from cradle to grave without discrimination and oppression based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We do this by partnering across issues, identities and communities to build a broad, inclusive and politically powerful movement that changes hearts and minds and achieves policy and electoral victories.
The MassEquality family of organizations includes the advocacy organization MassEquality.org, the educational charity MassEquality Education Fund, and our political action committee MassEquality PAC. Over the past eight years, MassEquality has grown to be one of the largest and most effective political organizations in Massachusetts, coordinating a broad range of activities including public education, grassroots mobilization and State House lobbying.
MassEquality's offices are centrally located in downtown Boston, just a short distance from the State House.
