Cristo Rey St. Viator Las Vegas College Preparatory
Cristo Rey St. Viator Las Vegas College Preparatory will open a Roman Catholic, co-educational, secondary school in August of 2019. The school is sponsored by the Clerics of St. Viator, Province of Chicago – United States. As the largest network of high schools in the United States whose enrollment is limited to low-income youth, the Cristo Rey Network’s distinctive approach to education equips students with the knowledge and skills to transform their lives through rigorous academics, four years of work experience, and support to and through college.
Cristo Rey schools operate as both a school and a temporary employment agency. All students work one full day each week in a real, entry-level job through the Corporate Work Study Program to earn a majority of their own tuition. The Corporate Work Study Program not only builds competence, confidence, and aspiration in Cristo Rey students, it also responds to workforce development challenges most companies face by developing candidates with the social and technical skills to perform the jobs of the future.
