About Us

  • What is WWOOF

  • WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) is a program that connects volunteers with organic farmers in South Korea. In exchange the 5-6 hours of work, volunteers are given food and housing on any of our 75 farms across the Korean peninsula. The program has existed since 1971 in the UK and since 1997 in South Korea.

  • WWOOF Korea’s mission is to promote sustainability through hands-on learning and cultural immersion. Volunteers help organic farmers by fulfilling tasks around the farm that they would otherwise have trouble completing. Because volunteers live with farmers, the two are also able to learn about each others’ language and culture.

  • How do volunteers benefit

  • Volunteers who join our program have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Korean culture and language through working with farmers and taking part in various cultural activities -- making kimchi, learning drumming, building clay houses, etc. depending on the farm and season.
