About Us

During Her lifetime, Princess Grace of Monaco was deeply committed to helping aspiring young artists realize their career goals. This, too, is the mission of the Foundation named in Her honor.

National in scope, the Princess Grace Awards are dedicated to identifying and assisting young talent in theater, dance, and film through grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships.

Awarded on an annual basis, the first grant recipients were named in 1984. Since then, it has become increasingly clear how vital a role the Foundation plays in encouraging new generations of artists.

The Foundation's trustees share Princess Grace's dedication to supporting the arts, and they believe, as She did, that cultivation and training of emerging young talent in America is a priority to ensure sustained excellence in the arts.

The Arts Advisory Board, composed of three panels, one for each area of grants awarded, reviews the nominations and makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

Incorporated in 1982, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA is a tax-exempt, non-profit, publicly supported organization. Contributions are welcome and are tax deductible by law.
