About Us

Pacific Hills School is an independent, co-educational college preparatory school serving the needs of a diverse population in grades 6-12. We offer a traditional, structured yet creative program in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Small class sizes allow a dedicated and experienced faculty, all deeply committed to the success of each child, to provide the kind of individual attention that results in a memorable, personal learning experience. Academic classes consist of regular, accelerated and advanced placement classes. Pacific Hills also offers a full complement of visual and performing arts classes.

Our strong college preparatory program is built on a proven sequence of course work. Students are taught theory, history, and practical application of each subject. The curriculum is carefully designed to stimulate and engage students, giving them the confidence to participate and the tools for self-direction, skills that they will draw upon for college and beyond. Our students excel in our Advanced Placement classes, consistently passing AP tests at a rate far above the national average.

Pacific Hills prides itself on a faculty drawn from many backgrounds and experiences. Though approaches and techniques differ, all of our faculty members share a passion for teaching and the cooperative spirit that defines Pacific Hills. Our faculty endeavors not only to prepare our students for academic success but also to know the whole child and to model everyday behavior and problem-solving techniques, in essence, to develop the human side of the relationship. This spirit manifests itself not only in the classroom but also in extra-curricular activities. It is a commonplace to see many faculty members cheering at a Saturday night basketball game, proudly applauding students at a school theatrical production, and admiring student work at Visual Arts Night.
