About Us
The Workforce Development Institute Inc. (WDI) is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Albany, NY with 10 regional offices around the state. Through a unique grants program, WDI makes investments that lead to workforce development and economic growth. Our regional staff works locally with businesses, unions and other organizations to develop strategies and implement solutions that address workforce challenges. We pinpoint trends, quickly fill gaps not covered by other programs, and scale successful programs throughout the state. Our mission is growing and keeping good jobs in New York State.
