Blue Star Families of Puget Sound

Blue Star Families is the nation’s largest grassroots military family support organization. It was founded by military spouses in 2009 to empower these families to thrive as they serve. We're committed to strengthening military families by connecting them with their neighbors – individuals and organizations – to create vibrant communities of mutual support. Chapters were purposefully built with a specific and measurable social impact goal: improve military families’ sense of belonging to their local communities. The Puget Sound Chapter will work with local organizations and programs to focus on these outcomes: Belong: Drive cultural and systemic changes in the community and increase a sense of belonging. Engage: Lead local civil-military integration with engagement, volunteerism, and diverse program options. Welcome: Build local chapters with representative membership, partnerships, infrastructure, and sustainability.
