The West Virginia Youth Symphony comprises 4 performance groups with a total of about 130 students in Charleston WV and surrounding counties. We are seeking a General Manager to organize and administer the work of the program. The position is for 30 hours a week and includes event co-ordination, responsibility for Monday night rehearsals, organizing staff and volunteers, managing overall fundraising campaigns, communications, maintaining websites and social media, writing and administering grants, accounting and budgeting, and representing the organization to the public. Prior experience with music organizations and/or other non-profit groups is preferred. Starting date is August, but may be flexible.
