    The mission of the Wicklund Warriors is to provide financial and other support to families clinically diagnosed with blood cancer in the Albany, NY, area and surrounding 11 counties. Our purpose is to identify and address the unique needs of these families, lightening their burdens. As survivors, we've formed the Bad Blood Club, where ambassador survivors personally engage with each applicant. We aim to create a robust network of support and solidarity by sharing our stories and fostering connections. At Wicklund Warriors, we believe in the strength of unity, echoing the sentiment that #NoOneFightsAlone.

    About Us

    We work with medical professionals at Dana Farber, New York Oncology Hematology, and the Melodies Center to identify and address the unique needs of these families and work to alleviate their burdens. As we mark our 10th anniversary, our pride in supporting over 160 families in the capital region, with over $200,000 in custom-tailored aid, continues to grow. Why do we do this? In 2013, our founder, Deanna Wicklund, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). The creation of Wicklund Warriors stemmed from her experience and dedication to supporting families grappling with the multifaceted challenges of blood cancers.
