Refresh Collective

Our mission is to REFRESH the HEART of the CITY through creative arts, community engagement and youth development. Together, we grow in creativity, confidence and character through multi-media community-based arts projects. We create art that brings people together to tell stories and create solutions to community health issues that affect us all, such as: active living, healthy eating, neighborhood identity, crime/safety, police-community relations, etc. Fresh Camp, our neighborhood hip-hop summer camp program, helps youth 9-18 build neighborhood identity while creating their own songs to promote what's fresh in their neighborhood. Fresh Voice, school residencies, connect with school benchmarks and curriculum while developing youth voice through hip-hop songwriting, recording and performance. Fresh Force, creative workforce development, gives advanced students paid internships to learn mastery level skill in music production, recording arts, performance, design, screen printing, communications and sales in our Fresh Lab recording studio, Fresh Gear clothing line and Refresh Collective performance team.
