    Mount Gulian Historic Site is a small site with a lot of history, spanning more than 300 years. Our history includes the Lenape People; the Verplanck family and early Dutch settlers; the Revolutionary War; Patriot General von Steuben and the Society of the Cincinnati; James F. Brown, an enslaved man and diarist who attained freedom; the Civil War. Our mission is to educate visitors of America's rich and diverse history.
