  • Mission

"Preserving a Moutain Treasure" That's the motto of the Hogback Mountain Conservation Association. Our goal is to support low impact human enjoyment of the 591-acre conservation area in Marlboro, Vermont while also protecting the natural environment.

    About Us

HMCA is a non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers who strive to help people enjoy the 591-acres of conserved land on Hogback Mountain owned by the town of Marlboro, Vermont, while also supporting the wildlife and natural communities that live on or pass through the site. We maintain the hiking trails and signs, create the trail maps, manage the web page and Facebook page, host hikes and workshops, organize school events, undertake habitat improvement projects, and otherwise assist the town in implementing the town's management plan for the conservation area.
