Missoula Aging Services promotes the independence, dignity and health of older adults and those that care for them through advocacy, education, services and volunteer opportunities.

Help adults in need of extra assistance

Through the Senior Companion Program, people age 55 and older provide assistance and friendship to frail older adults and their caregivers, adults with disabilities, and those with terminal illnesses. Senior Companions usually serve four to six clients on a weekly basis, serving 20 hours a week. If you are interested in being a Senior Companion, you must meet income eligibility requirements, and for your time you will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
