  • About Us

Founded in 2012, The Carpe Diem Project, Inc is the first nonprofit organization in Washington DC dedicated to serving former foster youth. We are currently developing a comprehensive program model in partnership with the public and private sectors. Our programs will offer a broad range of services including, case management, counseling, education, and vocational support to former foster youth between the ages of 18-25. Our theory of change is based on years of research and experience working with vulnerable populations. We believe that by providing a safe space in the neighborhood for former foster youth to access support we can create safety net to ensure that these youth make a smooth transition and become productive members of the community.
