The Liberty Park Market was initiated by people in the community who saw a need for a Farmers Market and the Liberty Park seemed like a perfect place for a market. Besides getting neighbors out of their houses we are able to show them how bright and vibrant their community is. We have a lot of backyard farmers, bee keepers, and bakers in our area who offer or prepare delicious and nutritious food for our community. We also have a program called Market Buds that teaches kids about where fruits and vegetables come from. The Market Buds program works very closely with the LDS Hospital and their Produce Bucks program that also teaches kids about how things grow from the earth, and gives the kids Produce Bucks to take around to different vendors selling fruits and vegetables.
Our Farmers Market is mostly local; we have about 70/80 vendors who sell at and love our Market. We have a friendly, open-arms kind of atmosphere. We also have a staffed bike valet where shoppers can drop off their bikes while they shop the market.
