Southwestern Research Station

About Us

The Southwestern Research Station is a non-profit Field Research Station owned and operated by the American Museum of Natural History. Located in southeastern Arizona, the Station provides facilities for visiting scientists from around the world who are working on a variety of projects focused on the incredible biodiversity of the area. As a non-profit with a small staff, we rely on volunteers to keep the Station operational. After fulfilling a 24 hour/week commitment, there are opportunities to assist resident researchers, attend course seminars, or to pursue your own interests. Free room & board are provided for your service. Please go to our website to fill out an application- look under intern tab for both intern and volunteer apps: http://research.amnh.org/swrs/interns or call 520-558-2396 or e-mail rrothpletz@amnh.org
