  • Mission

Join the Journey is a Christ-centered organization which focuses on spreading compassion--as an outpouring of God's love--in tandem with micro-lending programs to uplift the poorest of the poor around the world. We go to the off-grid places, one community at a time, to bring transformation that leads to hope and strengthened community.

    About Us

We started our journey our walking with the poor in 2010 out of the earthquake in Haiti when our founder, Adam Cole, was involved in the military relief efforts. Adam went back to Haiti in September 2010 on personal leave from the military to volunteer in the recovery efforts. He connected with a tent village of earthquake victims who lost homes--Capvva--and dedicated the organization's resources and manpower toward helping this community. The organization learned much from its walk with Capvva in recognizing the nuances the importance of giving a hand up, not a hand out. JTJ facilitated its first micro-lending group of five people in 2012, which would become the basis for the empowerment program it now runs in three different countries: Haiti, the Philippines, and Cameroon.

In addition to micro-lending, JTJ has sought to be an organization that equips the local church for localized compassion. JTJ sponsors community-wide celebrations in its projects areas during Easter and Christmas. We also intentionally support an orphanage in Peru that houses nearly 1,000 children.

JTJ remains a small organization but with a big heart for impact. We aim to increase our ability to make loans and equip entrepreneurs to feed their families. Will you join us?
