CFEF helps loan providers improve client education and understanding; educates consumers by promoting awareness of their rights and responsibilities and of the benefits and risks of financial services; promotes financial education and community development programs among policy-makers, community leaders, and participating companies; encourages communication and cooperation among community organizations, government agencies, financial institutions, and other community development practitioners.
