About Us
Consumer Health First was launched on May 19, 2016, to carry on the work started by the Maryland Women’s Coalition for Health Care Reform, which was formed in 2006. Consumer Health First is a statewide, non-partisan, grassroots alliance of individuals and organizations that seeks solutions and advances reforms that promote health equity through access to comprehensive, affordable, high quality care for all Marylanders.
Our members include nearly 100 nonprofits, state agencies, organizations, and businesses, as well as thousands of individuals. Membership is free and open to individuals and organizations.
Consumer Health First envisions a nation where every resident has access to comprehensive, affordable, high quality health care.
To achieve our vision Consumer Health First seeks solutions and advances reforms that promote health equity through access to comprehensive, affordable, high quality health care for all Marylanders.
