    The mission of the TEC is to develop and present premiere family-oriented community events, and to create long-lasting memories for the citizens of our community and beyond. The purpose of the events is to build community pride, provide safe family recreation and educational opportunities, showcase cultural diversity, artistic talents, and technological achievements while inspiring people to participate and contribute to the well being of the community

    Tacoma Events Commission is a group of volunteers who strive to create lasting memories for our community by producing events such as Tacoma's annual 4th of July festival, Freedom Fair; Tall Ships Tacoma 2005, Gray Sky Blues Music Festival and Orting Pumpkin Fest.
