Mission
Our mission at Sara's Acts of Kindness is to raise money for childhood cancer research research at Children's National Hospital in Washington D.C. We raise awareness about childhood cancer, the poor treatment, and lack of funding.
About Us
Sara's Acts of Kindness was founded by Sara Willis's mother about a year after she died. Sara battled brain cancer twice. She died on Thanksgiving day 2018 just a few months after her 18th. birthday. She was cancer free, the treatment killed her. This happens more than people realize. Only 4% go the governments funds for cancer research goes to childhood cancer. We have committed to donating at least $20,000 a year for 3 years. We submitted the first $20,000 check last year and have a lot planned this year so we can meet or exceed that amount but we have a major lack of volunteers.
