  • Mission

The purpose of the Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association is to produce community events which support our city and neighborhoods and bring people of all ages and races together through fun and entertaining volunteering experiences. Our Sherwood Robin Hood Festival occurs every July on the 3rd weekend. The Robin Hood Festival Association also produces a Winter Festival the first Saturday of every December.

    About Us

Founded in 1954, this historic event is free to the public and draws nearly 20,000 attendees each summer, offering a blend of modern and medieval activities. It features Medieval re-enactments, music & entertainment on three stages, a knighting ceremony celebrating impactful volunteers in our community, a kids and family area, an international archery contest between Nottinghamshire UK and Sherwood, Oregon, a castle building contest, a beer garden, food and crafts vendors and much more! The Robin Hood Festival Association also produces a Winter Festival the first Saturday of every December. Each spring it produces a Madrigal Feast, a re-enactment of a 14th-century royal dinner where the next year's Maid Marian and her court are presented to the community.
