About Us

Sea Turtles 911 is a non-profit organization based in Hawaii and Hainan, sister states between the United States and China. The charity works to advance marine turtle conservation by raising public awareness and education to reduce environmental impacts on sea turtles; researching ways to achieve sustainable populations of sea turtles; rescuing injured sea turtles and releasing them back to their natural habitats. Marine turtles are an ideal animal for inspiring wildlife oceanic appreciation amongst people of different cultures since they are one of the rare animals which innocently defy political and geographical boundaries, as they instinctively migrate through waters of different countries. With their naturally appealing attraction to the public as gentle and charismatic animals, sea turtles have globally attained the iconic status as a 'flagship species’, serving as Mother Nature’s ambassador for the ocean. Sea Turtles 911’s mission to save sea turtles provides a platform of opportunities to unite people of different countries and cultures to work together with a shared, common goal of preserving natural living marine resources for future generations.
