NWCSA is a non-profit corporation operating in a 5-county area (Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron, and Price Counties) in Northwestern Wisconsin. The goal of NWCSA is to promote self-sufficiency of the low income. We have been fighting the "war on poverty" since our founding in 1967.

Our offices in Superior and Ashland, WI offers two Homeless shelters, Permanent Supportive Housing, Domestic Violence Rapid Rehousing, Free Tax Return Preparation, AmeriCorps Senior RSVP (a volunteer program for those 55+), coordinated entry, a food pantry, WIC (Women, Infants, & Children), adult day respite program, a senior center, and many other services.
