Campaign: Children NEED Parents

There are at least 1,000,000 displaced children in the U.S. They are at phenomenal risk of being unable to function properly as adults. 30 - 50% of compromised adults grew up on their own- displaced from family. "Angie" has been in 32 different foster houses and group homes. She’s 14 now. Why??? The Campaign says lack of resources, fundamental misinformation, and wrong assumptions have led to this tragedy. The Campaign says her tragedy is/was avoidable.

We have been around for a while but this is a heavy lift- we're basically a start-up with a vision.

We're a very small group of committed individuals who are finding it very difficult to get an organization off the ground. At this time, we have a fairly clear organizational structure but no volunteers to fill the allotted slots. A major piece that is currently missing is a cohesive marketing plan and we have a demonstrated inability to develop one. The Campaign is simply a guerrilla marketing, public education effort telling the public that there are enough families to care for each and every one of these children. We want to create/demonstrate a groundswell of public opinion which will authorize policy makers to do the difficult work of changing the systems that surround the kids.

This is an idea whose time is coming. It is sea-change, cultural construction (reconstruction) and is for those who can generate a large vision. We welcome applications.
