    About Us

    The Safe Alternative Foundation for Education is a nonprofit youth center founded in 2014 by Van Brooks and based in the Franklin Square community of West Baltimore. We offer structured, educational, after-school programming to primarily middle schools students in the area. The programs that we offer after-school fall in the subjects of STEAM, health, fitness, and leadership, and they are designed to be fun for students to keep them engaged and active in their education and the creation of their career path. Not only do our programs help to keep kids off of the streets, but they also help our students prepare for a bright, successful future no matter what obstacles are put in their way.
