  • Mission

We at Peer Wellness and Recovery Services (PWRS) recognize that peer support is a vital - yet frequently overlooked and underused - tool in the behavioral health field. We maintain the principle that the understanding, guidance, and encouragement of peers, individuals who have lived with mental health and/or substance use issues, are invaluable for others seeking to cope with and transcend similar conditions. To this end, PWRS promotes peer services through advocacy, outreach, education, and consulting, and is active in design and implementation of new peer support programming.
