    Founded in 1979, Greater Philadelphia Search And Rescue (GPSAR) is an all-volunteer organization providing search and rescue resources, search management, and community education.

    GPSAR primarily responds in Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. While all members must first and foremost be ground searchers, specialty units include Canine, Equine, Technical, Communications, Medical, Water Search and Rescue, and an Explorer Post.
