The HopeLine Resource Center for Community Development

  • Mission

    The Resource Center for Community Development, known in the community as "The HopeLine", strives on providing much-needed social services to the residents of the South Bronx, many of whom are immigrants living in what is the poorest Congressional district in the United States. Our approach is rooted in the idea of empowering the individual; we seek to provide social, psychological and moral support for our clients and to equip them with the tools they need to be able to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

    About Us

    The HopeLine is now utilizing a threefold approach to intervene in the cycle of poverty so prevalent in the South Bronx;

    1. Food Pantry to meet the most basic nutritional needs of our clients.

    2. Clothing Bank to provide clothing for needy families.

    3. Educational programs including Citizenship, ESL, Computer, and Nutrition classes to begin educating our neighborhood so they can create better futures for themselves and their families.
