Brevard County Guardian ad Litem Office

  • Mission

The mission of the Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) is to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courts. Through quality volunteer representation for children in the child welfare system, we strive to provide each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home. We are for the Child.

    About Us

Guardian ad Litem volunteers advocate for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect and are now placed into the child welfare system also known as foster care and out of home care. Our sole purpose is to ensure that these children are placed into safe environments and are receiving the care and services that they deserve. It is vital that every child in the system has a GAL volunteer because these kids need a voice, they need someone to advocate for them and to express their best interest. And that is exactly what a GAL volunteer does.
