Earl Young’s Team was founded in 2015 and is dedicated to raising awareness for and registering blood stem cell/bone marrow donors to provide second chances at life for patients battling blood cancers (like leukemia and lymphoma) and blood disorders (like aplastic anemia and sickle cell disease). Our founder, Earl Young, is an Olympic gold medalist alive today because a total stranger donated blood stem cells to give him a second chance at life. Because young donors (ages 18-26) deliver the best patient outcomes, our work focuses on awareness initiatives and swab drives on college and university campuses. To date, we have added over 40,000 people to the donor pool, resulting in over 170 second chances at life.
We are a small team providing life saving donors for patients in need. There are 70 different diseases that can be treated and cured with a blood stem cell transplant including blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma and blood disorders like sickle cell disease and aplastic anemia. We are excited to add a valuable new member to our team to help us reach the next level.
